Carol became a director at Marvin and Company in 1996. She manages the firm's long-term health care practice and provides auditing, accounting, tax and consulting services to not-for-profit organizations and pension plans.
Specializing in not-for-profit industries, Carol has experience in financial statement presentation, analytical review of operations, and various management advisory services. In addition, she provides management advisory services such as negotiating with intermediaries with regard to their audit findings, appeal preparation, certifications for construction projects, and strategic planning. She is available to present seminars on reimbursement and reporting procedures as well as to hold in-service financial management seminars, including accounting courses for program oriented staff to give them a basic understanding of accounting.
A Presidential Scholar at Siena College, Carol graduated with a BBA in Accounting. She is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of CPAs and the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. Carol is a 1996 graduate of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce Capital Leadership Program. She is the Treasurer of the Whitney M. Young Jr. Health Center, Inc and is a member of the Siena School of Business Executive Advisory Board. In her free time she enjoys gardening, music, hiking and biking with her family.
